Yarbo Snow Blower S1 Limitations

Thank you for choosing our Snow Blower S1 device! While our product offers advanced features and capabilities, it is important to be aware of its limitations to ensure safety and efficiency of use. This instruction manual outlines the functionalities the Snow Blower S1 does not possess or activities it cannot be performed. 


Environmental Conditions and Terrain Limitations
  • The docking station may become obscured by snow if the snow-throwing direction overlaps with its location.
  • Yarbo faces challenges on frozen snow surfaces, impeding its ability to navigate effectively.
  • Yarbo cannot operate on driveways with a terrain height exceeding 1.6 inches.
  • The maximum slope for Yarbo's operation is 20 degrees during the snow-blowing process.
  • Yarbo cannot clean snow on the steps.
  • It is unable to clear ice cubes longer and wider than 12 inches.
  • Yarbo cannot navigate slopes greater than 35 degrees.
  • In temperatures below -20 degrees Celsius, Yarbo should be charged on the docking station.

Obstacle Recognition
  • Yarbo has an effective obstacle recognition distance of 1.7 feet.
  • The maximum distance for recognizing pedestrians is 16.5 feet, triggering the closure of the snow shovel and movement motors upon detection.
  • Yarbo cannot remove snow from pathways narrower than 2 feet.
  • Obstacles with a height below 18 inches cannot be detected.

Camera Visual Limitation
  • Yarbo cannot recognize pedestrians in a crouched position.
  • Pets with a height less than that of Yarbo's universal body cannot be recognized.
  • Yarbo cannot identify scattered bushes and fences.
  • The camera cannot discern whether the obstacles are dynamic or static.
  • Yarbo cannot recognize dynamic obstacles or animals.
  • The camera struggles to bypass obstacles when obscured by pollution.

Snow Blowing Efficiency
  • Snow blowing efficiency will significantly decrease if the length of the snow throwing direction area is less than 16.5 feet.
  • Snow blowing efficiency will be significantly reduced if there are more than three snowing directions in a working area.
  • Snow blowing efficiency will significantly decrease if there are multiple no-go zones in a working area.
  • Snow blowing efficiency will be decreased if the shape of the working area is not rectangular.
  • The battery capacity of Yarbo is insufficient to clean six parking spaces with approximately 12 inches of snow at once.
  • Snow blowing efficiently will be affected if there are stones and branches in the working area.

Restrictions on Snow Shape and Thickness
  • The Yarbo is only able to clean wet snow with a thickness below 4 inches.
  • The Yarbo is only able to clean packed snow with a thickness below 4 inches.
  • The Yarbo is only able to clean dry snow with a thickness below 12 inches.

Limitation of RTK Base
  • RTK signal is poor when RTK set is close to the wall and high building within 6.5 feet.
  • RTK signal is poor in ravines, hillsides, and forests, which will affect the execution of an automatic plan.
  • RTK antenna set requires installation in an open area of at least 120 degrees without obstructions.
  • RTK antenna set cannot be installed indoors.
  • RTK Base does not function smoothly until the LED light flashes a solid green light.
  • RTK Base can only be used when the RTK cable and LoRa cable connect to the ports on the RTK Base, and plug the adapter of RTK Base into the outlet.
  • RTK Base can only be used with adapters below 12 volts.

Operational Limitation
  • The auger cannot be turned on via the virtual controller and physical controller when the battery level of the Yarbo device is less than 20%.
  • The physical controller is not waterproof and shouldn't be used in the rain.
  • Physical controllers can remotely control Yarbo up to 99 feet.
  • It is not recommended to use the physical controller while it is charging.
  • Using the physical controller while charging or below 20% battery is not recommended.
  • Both virtual and physical controllers cannot be used simultaneously.
  • Physical controllers cannot initiate automatic work plans.
  • Physical controller cannot control more than one Yarbo device.

App Usage Limitation
  • Yarbo requires App sign-in for virtual controller operation.
  • App usage requires acceptance of terms and conditions.
  • Yarbo devices that have not been added to the account cannot be controlled by the app.
  • The connection between the App and Yarbo will be disrupted if Yarbo's internet network is disconnected or if the power of Yarbo is off.
  • A Yarbo device can only be bound to one account. (Hint: Scan the QR code from the back of Yarbo to add Yarbo to your account)
  • Yarbo cannot be controlled while charging or executing an automatic work plan.
  • App operation may experience delays with an unstable Yarbo internet connection.

User and Drawing Map Restrictions
  • Users under 18 have operational restrictions.
  • The working area, pathway, and snow-throwing directions must be created for executing the automatic work plan.
  • Maps must start drawing from the docking station.
  • Work plans require a connected working area, pathway, and snow-throwing direction. Each working area should be connected by a pathway, and there should be no obstructions in the pathways.
  • Snow-throwing direction must be at least 3.3 feet in length.
  • Working area must exceed 900 square centimeters, avoiding obstacles. (Note: The proportion of the working area has to reduce the size of obstacles.)
  • Docking station cannot be within the working area.

No-Go Zone and Automatic Work Plan Limitations
  • The no-go zone must stay inside the working area, and there should be at least 2 feet of space between the no-go zone and the edge of the working area.
  • No-go zones cannot overlap with pathways.
  • Automatic work plans cannot start in no-go zones or if Yarbo is outside the working area.
  • Controllers cannot be used during automatic work plans. (Hint: Please pause the plan to unlock the controller)
  • Yarbo cannot operate indoors due to safety and RTK signal concerns.
  • App linkage and automatic work plan disruptions may occur with an unstable vendor network.

Charging Limitation
  • Yarbo cannot recharge in no-go zones.
  • Yarbo cannot recharge without setting up the docking station (unless you have a manual charging supply/cable).
  • Yarbo cannot charge if the battery temperature is lower than 5 degrees. It needs to be heated for 20-30mins before it can be charged normally.
  • Yarbo cannot charge if the battery temperature exceeds 40 degrees. It needs to be cooled down before it can be charged normally.
