LUBA Winter Storage and Maintenance

To make sure your Luba will be in perfect condition for the next mowing season, please follow these instructions.

1. Preparation before winter storage
  • Turn off all task schedules in Mammotion App.



  • Charge the battery power of Luba to 40%-70%.

2. Remove the charging station
  • Unplug the charging station.



  • Loosen and remove the screws.



  • Take away the charging station.



  • When the next mowing season comes, install the charging station and relocate it in the App.

1. Take care of the RTK Reference Station

Scenario 3-1: Take care of RTK Station without removing it during the winter with plastic cover from Mammotion.
  • Make sure the temperature during winter is higher than -20°C/-4°F.

  • Unplug the RTK Reference Station power cable.



  • Cover the RTK Station with plastic coverage.


Scenario 3-2: Take care of RTK Station without removing it during the winter with other covers like plastic bags.
  • Make sure the temperature during winter is higher than -20°C/-4°F.

  • Unplug the RTK Reference Station power cable.



  • Hang RTK cable over the RTK Reference Station.



  • Remove the black antenna.



  • Place desiccant on RTK station to keep it dry.



  • Cover the RTK Reference Station with plastic bags and tie the knots. Make sure the knot is below the RTK Station.



  • If you do that and do not move the RTK Reference Station, you do not need to delete and re-create the task map when the next mow season comes.
Scenario 3-3: Take care of RTK Station by removing the RTK Station if it is installed on the wall.
  • Unplug the power of the RTK Station.



  • Remove RTK Station from the wall and mark the wall holes' position.



  • When the next mowing season comes, install the RTK Station back to its original position.

Scenario 3-4: Take care of RTK Station by removing it if it is installed on pole and delete the map.
  • Delete the map and remap it next year.



  • Remove the RTK Station from the pole.


4. Clean Luba

Clean Luba’s outer shell:
  • Make sure your Luba is right placed, the front bumper is steadily installed and the USB cover on the rear is tight.

  • Make sure your Luba is powered off with the battery power of 40-70%.

  • Clean Luba(the whole outer shell, wheels, chassis, etc.) with a wet towel or soft brush, you can wash Luba if you think it is too dirty.



  • DO NOT turn Luba upside down and wash the bottom of Luba with a washer.



  • Wait for 30 minutes till Luba is dry. Ensure that Luba is placed on the ground in its normal orientation and not upside down.




Clean Luba’s underside:
  • Prepare the tools: protective gloves, brush, and screwdriver.



  • Remove the security key of Luba.



  • Turn Luba upside down and use the screwdriver to loosen the blade screw.
    Note: please wear protective gloves.



  • Use the brush to clean the blade and the cutting plate.



  • Use the screwdriver to tighten the blade screw.



  • Hold still the cutting plate and use the screwdriver to loosen the cutting plate screws.



  • Use the brush to clean the bottom of Luba.
    Note: Please don’t use sharp objects to clean the bottom of Luba.



  • After finishing the cleaning, install the cutting plate.



  • Remove the front bumper and clean the front bumper connection hole and the metal axles.



  • Clean the rear charging area of Luba.



  • Clean the front bumper and the joint of the front bumper carefully.



  • You can add anti-rust lubricant on the joint part.
    Note: DO NOT USE chemical agent on any part of Luba except for the joint part, especially the metal contact part.



5. Clean the charging station & RTK Reference Station
  • Clean RTK Reference Station: Use a towel to clean the RTK Reference Station and remove the black antenna.



  • Clean the charging station: Use a brush and towel to clean the charging station, especially the IR part, the charging pin, and the interface.




  • Also, need to clean the bottom of the charging station.

6. Winter storage
  • Pack Luba, charging station, RTK Reference Station, cable, adapter, and other accessories in their original packages.


  • Please store the package with Luba and accessories in a dry condition with -10-25℃/14-77°F.
